what's with all the hype?

Living well is a 360 approach that encompasses your mind, body and soul.

I HOPE YOU ARE CONCERNED.  AND ANGRY.

Let's be open here: many of the products we are using today have A LOT of chemicals in them, which are responsible for a number of symptoms of disease and distress.

You simply CANNOT AFFORD to play around with your health.

You have to make be RUTHLESS about what you let into your body. There are no two ways about it.

Would it not be wonderful to embrace a way of living that supports you naturally, sans worrying about pollutants and nasty chemicals?

Which is why I am dedicated to sharing with you how to embrace  a chemical free life.

There are many ways through which you can let go of harmful substances and replace them with easy to use and kinder substances.

Many of the problems we are facing today would be solved if we were a bit more careful with what we put on our bodies.

Our bodies tell us stories and it's up to us to pay attention.

self care

Pleasure Is Power

Pleasure is the cornerstone around which an orgasmic lifestyle is built.

It is the missing link in our everyday.

However, you CAN'T experience true pleasure if you are not taking care of yourself.

Self-care is what helps you appreciate the importance of pleasure in your everyday.

Self-care is taking actions to take care of our emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health. But more than that it is giving yourself permission to experience love and attention from YOU.

It is connecting with who you truly are in order to heal and thrive.

SELF-CARE IS NOT SELFISH. YOU CANNOT SERVE FROM AN EMPTY VESSEL.

Self-care is  is giving yourself permission to experience love and attention from YOU.

It is connecting with who you truly are in order to heal and thrive.

Self care, like any other art requires patience, dedication and commitment.

It is taking a stand for yourself and promising to put yourself first.

essential oils

“We each have the innate ability to heal ourselves. To empower ourselves with natural solutions, instead of succumbing to life-altering chemicals. There's a time and place for pharmaceuticals, but it shouldn't be the first answer, nor the only form treatment.”
― Dana Arcuri

my story with oils

My  journey into natural wellness began 4 years ago, catalysed by a particularly distressing acne breakout in my twenties.  I was massively self-conscious and my self-esteem was affected. Cutting out sugar and protein didn't work. The expensive facial products ended up stripping my skin bare until it was red and peeling [cringe]

Everything that was supposed to work JUST WASN'T CUTTING IT!

Until I accidentally ran into a pretty cool website that listed a series of remedies to improve the appearance of acne. Perhaps it was the thick gorgeous mane of jet black hair or the baby soft skin of the gal who was talking that won me over- I am not sure.

All I know is that I was hooked. Naturally [pun intended], the mixologist in me took over and very soon I was scouring around for herbal ingredients and essential oils.

high grade therapeutic oils

The hardest part was sourcing good quality essential oils.

I eventually did find them, but they did the bare minimum. They were greasy, slimy and artificial and full of chemicals. I could feel the strange.  The interesting bit was that despite their low grade, I did draw some benefit from the oil which made me wonder what would happen if I got hold of the REAL, PURE GRADE STUFF, you know?

I searched high and low for QUALITY essential oils. The struggle was real, my friends. Until I came across the doTERRA brand that has literally changed my life.

Essential oils are kinda a big deal. But it's also true that as we become more health conscious and picky about our products, it is easy to get overwhelmed by information overload or by people out to make a quick sell from us.

natural skin care

“Be patient. Your skin took a while to deteriorate. Give it some time to reflect a calmer inner state. ”

The easiest way to control what goes onto your skin is by making your own skincare products.

There are 3 main reasons you would want to do that:

: you have absolute control over the ingredients you use- from sourcing to authenticity

: you can custom make products to suit your lifestyle and needs

: you make use of inexpensive products that are found in your kitchen pantry.

As an added bonus, DIYing your own skincare range is a fun exercise in creativity and relaxation.

A key part of my wellness journey is being ruthless and strict with what goes onto my skin. I can barely stand any artificial stuff on it anymore.

I have learnt how to turn to my kitchen to curate my own products with love and deliberate intention. This attitude has helped me treat myself with more respect and love and my skin returns the favor.

There are plenty of products that work well for different people. My choice however is to be as natural as I possibly can. My mantra is 'if it's good to eat, it's good to go on my skin.' It is however a journey of patience, trial and error and continuous learning- a process I have whole heartedly embrace.
Don't take my word for it though. Give it a try and let me know how that works out for you!
