3 Effortless Ways To Have A Good Day {Everyday}

We are all searching for ways to feel better and to have good days.

I googled and found pages and pages of content under the title ‘How To Have A Good Day.’ Which tells me that it’s definitely a big deal.

Today I want to share with you 3 simple ways to have a good day In 5 Minutes Or Less….

That’s a pretty bold claim to make, but shifting I believe that we should be able to quickly shift gears when the need arises. And I promise you, it will take less than 5 minutes.

1| Give Thanks

We know that the quickest way to make a change is by giving thanks. If you want a more potent experience, try a gratitude journal. Writing down what you are grateful for will amplify your experiences.

Spend some time each day to give thanks.  It could be as simple as 3 things you are grateful for when you wake up or just before you go to bed.

One of my all time favorite quotes is ‘if you have no time to say a prayer, give thanks. That's all the prayer you need.’

 

2| Take A Deep Breath

You would assume that because breathing is so obvious we would do it but we don’t.

Let deep breaths be your reminder that you are alive.

As many yogis say, if you don't breathe, you die.

Stop what you are doing this moment, and inhale deeply from your tummy and exhale everything out. Just to a count of 5.

The reason breath is so powerful is that it allows you a moment to slow down.

Come back to your breath when you are overwhelmed and allow it calming motions to hold you steady.

If you want to take it a notch higher, place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your belly. Notice the physical movements that happen as you inhale and exhale.

You can change your life, one breath at a time.

3| Sniff An Essential Oil

Inhaling essential oils is one of the fastest ways to shift your mood. It also happens to be one of my favourite ways to quickly have a good day.

Smell is a powerful reaction that can help us feel certain ways.

Citrus scents are mood boosters and enhancers. Mints help stimulate your mind. Lavender and tree oils are grounding and relaxing.

Choose smells that help you feel the way you want to feel, open the bottle, take a big whiff and relax.
